Clark County Health Department, affiliated with Hoosier Hills AIDS Coalition.

The Clark County Health Dept, in cooperation with the Hoosier Hills AIDS Coalition, administers the HIV/STD Program.  Based out of their jointly located office in Jeffersonville, comprehensive and intergraded services are provided to the citizens of Clark, Floyd and 9 surrounding counties in southeast Indiana.  All services are FREE and highly confidential.

Services are supported from funding through:

Clark County Health Department, Indiana Medicaid, Indiana State Department of Health, Hoosier Hills AIDSWALK, UofL Wings Clinic, Indiana AIDS Fund, and individual donations.

 


HIV/AIDS Counseling and Testing - In office by appointment, M-F 8-5, Hepatitis C testing also available.
STD Clinic - Testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, call for appointment.
HIV/STD Education and Prevention - Educational programs to drug treatment facilities, jails/prisons, youth shelters, schools, etc.  Follow-up with onsite testing when appropriate.
Special Populations Support Program - Provides education and testing to mental health facilities.
Disease Intervention - Counsels on duty to warn, bodily fluid restrictions, confidential partner notification, arrange treatment, and case management.
Hoosier Hills Clinic - For HIV/AIDS clients with no insurance.  Outpatient medical care provided by UofL Wings.  By appointment only.
HIV Care Coordination - Case management social services for HIV+/AIDS clients in accessing benefit programs.
   ADAP - State program in getting AIDS related prescriptions.
   EIP - Medical care for clients with no insurance.
   HIAP-ISDH - Pays premiums and deductibles for clients on ICHIA
   ICHIA - Statewide high risk insurance program.
   DEFA - Emergency assistance needs - rent/utilities, meds, food, etc.
   HOPWA - Housing assistance, must meet HUD section 8 requirements.
